  1. I cannot sync photos in icloud for windows.

Passwords, drive, calendar and bookmarks all sync in icloud for windows but not photos. I have tried logging out, restarting, and changing the folder location but no go. I called Apple support and they said it is a windows issue as all my apple devices sync together.

    :)

  3. iCloud Photos syncing iPad > Windows 10, but Not syncing Windows > iPad

    Hello ColinKin

    Welcome to the Microsoft Community.

It sounds like you're experiencing issues with iCloud Photos not syncing from your Windows 10 computer to your iPad, while syncing from iPad to Windows works fine. This could be due to a variety of factors related to iCloud settings, network issues, software versions, or permissions.

Here are Apple’s official instructions on photo synchronization for your reference.

Set up and use iCloud Photos on your Windows PC - Apple Support

Thoroughly research any product advertised on the site before you decide to download and install it.

Here are some suggestions to troubleshoot and possibly resolve the issue:

    1. Check iCloud Settings on Windows:
      1. Ensure that you're signed in with the same Apple ID on both your iPad and Windows iCloud application.
      2. Open the iCloud application on Windows, and ensure that Photos (including iCloud Photo Library and iCloud Photo Sharing) are enabled.
    2. Update Software:
      1. Make sure that you have the latest version of iCloud for Windows installed. You've mentioned your Windows Photos app version, but it's also important to have the latest iCloud version.
      2. Also, ensure your iPad is running the latest iOS version.
    3. Check Internet Connection:

Ensure both your iPad and Windows PC are connected to the internet. Sometimes, a poor or unstable connection can cause syncing issues.
    4. Check iCloud Storage:

Verify that you have enough iCloud storage available. If your iCloud storage is full, new photos won't sync.
    5. Permissions and Settings in Windows Photos App:

The Windows Photos app might not have the necessary permissions to access the iCloud Photos folder, or it's not set up to display iCloud Photos. While you mentioned trying to add the iCloud folder to the Photos app, this issue might be related to how the Photos app integrates with iCloud Photos, which is mainly designed to work within the iCloud for Windows app and File Explorer rather than third-party apps like Windows Photos.
    6. iCloud Photos Folder Location:

By default, iCloud Photos on Windows syncs photos to a specific folder (usually C:\Users\[Your Name]\Pictures\iCloud Photos). Ensure that this is the folder you're trying to access and that it's correctly set up in the iCloud settings on your Windows PC.
    7. File Explorer:

Rather than using the Windows Photos app, try accessing your photos directly through File Explorer in the iCloud Photos folder to see if they are syncing correctly.
    8. Restart Devices and iCloud for Windows:

Sometimes, a simple restart of your devices and the iCloud for Windows app can resolve syncing issues.
    9. Reinstall iCloud for Windows:

If none of the above steps work, consider uninstalling and then reinstalling iCloud for Windows. This can sometimes resolve underlying issues with the installation or configuration.
If after trying these steps you're still facing issues, it might be helpful to contact Apple Support or visit an Apple Store for more personalized assistance, as there could be a more specific issue at play with your devices or account.

    Best Regards
