Windows 10: i cannot use the second hdmi port that i have in my pc case

hello everyone,I have this problem that my pc case has 3 DP and 1 HDMI port connected directly to my graphics card. and another one [HDMI port] separated away from them.I just got this new pc and I want to use my old monitor as an extended screen [it also uses HDMI].more info:- my primary monitor uses the only HDMI port that my pc case has. and now there is another one the one HDMI port that is not directly connected to the graphics card that isn't working [my windows cannot detect that my second monitor is connected to it].- at this moment, I can't buy any new cables or converters although

HDMI Port Stopped Working

I generally use a second monitor via an HDMI cable while working. However, it stopped working today.

I checked these:

• Windows cannot detect a second monitor when HDMI cable is connected to the second monitor.
• HDMI cable which I use works if another device is connected to the second monitor.
• My computer detects my HDMI-to-VGA converter through HDMI port.

My computer runs Windows 10 Home with latest updates installed.

I suspect this is due to a driver error. How can I fix this problem?

Yeah, Barbara, that would be it if it's the only HDMI port.

Have you installed the camera software? Be sure to read the instructions closely and follow each step. It may or may not have you plug into the port later. So read all the steps through first.

 

PC to TV through HDMI

Hi,

Have you tried to reconfigure your audio settings? If not, try to change your audio output settings to HDMI by following the steps below:

• Press Windows ( ) key + X.
• Select Control Panel.
• Click Hardware & Sound.
• Click Manage Audio Devices.
• Select the HDMI device listed under the Playback tab.
• Click Set as default and click Ok.

Also, we suggest to update your audio driver.
