No. Because the troubleshooting guide on device manager wont even resolve my solution as it is also a basic and one of the primary steps to do but no avail. Tried installing powerplan7 and trackpad++ suggested by relentless on apple forums but with
no success for me. Until now i can't use windows 10 installed on my macbook pro 15inch late 2008 because of the trackpad/touchpad failure.

1. Press Windows key + X and select device manager.

2. Click "view" and select "show hidden devices".

3. If the trackpad driver is listed, right click on the driver and uninstall it.

4. Restart the computer and have Windows automatically install the driver upon restart.

Issues with accessing the trackpad in laptop on Windows 10

This issue might have occurred due to outdated/ corrupted/ incompatible trackpad drivers on the device.

Try few of the below troubleshooting steps and check if it helps.

Method 1: Run Hardware troubleshooter as it will help in resolving the issues with hardware and resolve any simple issues found.

  Click on View all option on the upper left corner.
  
• 
  Select the Hardware and Device
  options from the list.

Method 2: If the issue still persist, follow the below steps and check.

  Press Windows + X keys from the keyboard and click on
  Control Panel.

  Click on Mouse.

  On the Device Settings tab of the
  Mouse Properties screen, click the Disable button to turn off the Touchpad.

  Restart the system and enable.
  

Method 3: Uninstall and Update the Touchpad drivers.

I suggest you to download the drivers for the trackpad from the manufacturer's website. Uninstall the existing ones, re-install the driver manually and check with the status.

• Press Windows key + X key when you are at desktop.
• Select Device Manager.
• Expand Mice and other pointing devices.
• Right click on each of the drivers and click on Uninstall.
• Restart the laptop.
