Windows 10: I can't access any of my files -- "Access Denied"

I was asked to update Windows 11 this morning. I did so without problem, and now I'm locked out of every single file and folder. I get the "Accessed Denied" message. This happens whether I open from File Explorer or from within Microsoft Word, for example, where I get that I don't have "access privileges."I've rebooted several times.All my apps work--Office and others.I am online at my usual fast speed.All my websites work--even those requiring passwords.I checked--I am still the administrator.Various online help suggestions don't work.I can only access the main documents folder directory, but

Nforce2 > nvidia.com. There you find drivers.

As for accessing files, take ownership.

 

LAPTOP is not accessible ..... Access is denied.

I am trying to share a folder on a LAPTOP. I have other a number of other systems that have folders Shared and they work fine, but with this one I get the error "LAPTOP is not accessible ..... Access is denied." when I try to access it from a different Win10 system. So I went thru the entire "How to Share Files and Folders Over a Network in Windows 10" tutorial step by step. File and Print Sharing is enabled, SMB1.0 client & server are running, and Everyone has Full Access to the Share. Still get the error. I have tried it with the Network Public and Private, with the same result. Any suggestions ?

Denied access to files

Ok I got a pc in from a friend and he wants me to fix it, it doesn't boot up properly so I was thinking reinstall windows but first I have to save all his songs and crap. First problem it denies me access to the files on his HDD when it is hooked up to my pc .... damn. Second problem is that it is a very, very old pc nforce 2 chipset and I can't ID the board so I can't get the drivers. It won't turn on so I can't check it that way any ideas.
