Hi,I can't access icloud on either the app or the website on my Windows 11 home PC; it works fine on my "work PC," though. I called Apple support and they said it's not an Apple problem if it works on another PC, it's related to my Windows device. I'm not so sure, but I'm trying to isolate the problem now. It just keeps telling me "connection error" and won't let me go further. The App just shuts down. Any ideas?thanks,Jordan

    :)

  2. I can no longer access iCloud via the app or the web on my Windows 11 pc

    Hi

I am on Windows 11 and until last week could access iCloud via both the web and the app from my pc. All other websites work with no problem. I have tried all sorts of things to fix this. I have spoken to Apple, but as I can access my iCloud on my phone and work pc, the problem is not at their end - their suggestion was completely wipe and rebuild my pc, which obviously I don't want to do.

There have been a number of Windows updates recently, so wondered it that may be the issue.

I get the following error when I try to connect to iCloud - 'Connection Error - iCloud encountered an error while trying to connect to the server'. Sometimes I can get as far as the login screen, but as soon as I have put my id and password in, the same error appears.

    To troubleshoot I have:

    • Tried different browsers
    • Tried private browsing
    • Cleared cookies and cache
    • Flushed the dns
    • pinged iCloud from the command prompt - and it pings the website with no problem
    • Uninstalled my security software completely
    • Set it up as a trusted site in windows and security software
In Windows Defender Firewall with Advanced Security:

    • Inbound rules has iTunes ticked - but iCloud isn't there
    • Outbound rules has iCloud ticked - but iTunes isn't there
    • Monitoring > Firewall - iTunes is ticked - iCloud isn't there
Could this be the issue? If so, how would I add the domain to the inbound rules or Firewall?

I do not have VPN running on my pc.

    Can anyone help?

    Thanks

  3. ICloud won't work on WIndows PC

I am unable to access ICloud using the web and the ICloud app on my Windows 11 PC using both Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge. ICloud works fine on my Iphone and Kindle Fire using the Silk browser. When I use the web, the error message is: "ICloud encountered an error trying to connect to the server." When I try to use the ICloud app for Windows, the error message is "An error occurred during authentication."

iCloud calendar will not show calendar and categories in Windows 10 mail app.

    Hello,

If it's a Calendar app, we suggest you to follow the steps and check if it helps:

I suggest you to go through the below steps and check if it helps.

    • Login to your Apple ID and password.
    • Choose ‘Calendar‘, click on the ‘WiFi’-like Logo next to the calendar you want to see in Windows 10 calendar app.
    • Choose ‘Public Calendar‘ and send copy the link.
    • Next, login to your outlook.com account, go to ‘Calendar‘ in the PC website view, click on ‘Import‘, then on ‘Subscribe‘, choose a calendar name, paste the iCloud calendar link and click ‘Subscribe‘.
    • Now the iCloud calendar subscription is processing and after a short while you can see your iCloud calendar apps on outlook.com.
    • For checking correct syncing, go to the settings wheel on the right upper corner, click on ‘Options‘ and then on the name of the iCloud calendar subscription you gave in step 4. Under ‘Last Refresh‘, you can see
the refresh period and the number of correctly synced events.
    • Open Windows 10 calendar app. If you’ve already set up your outlook.com account, you will see the iCloud calendar subscription in ‘read-only’ mode.
Hope this helps, let us know the status of the issue.
