Windows 10: I can’t access my BitLocker Recovery Key because the verification function won’t accept my...

My system has locked up and is asking for my BitLocker recovery key. I successfully access my MS account and navigate to the BitLocker recovery key section, where it asks for my alternate email address to verify my identity, offers the first two and last several letters in my alternate email address and prompts me to enter the fill alternate email address. I enter my alternate email address and get a message that the email address I entered is not associated with my account. OK, perhaps I miss spelled it when I first set up my account? So I commence the process of updating my personal info

Bitlocker will not accept password or Recovery Key

I am trying to access my hard drive , But my recovery key and password are not being accepted

by bitlocker.

This Recovery key was sent to me when setting up the bitlocker, But now says it's a invalid key



Is there a problem with this software as its not accepting my recovery key Or password.



Can this bitlocker be reset so that it Can accept my recover key.



Any help please.Alan

Bitlocker recovery key

We understand your concern as the PC is locked with BitLocker and you are unable to retrieve the BitLocker Recovery key from your Microsoft account.



In this situation, we would first suggest you to set the PC to default BIOS settings.



If you still get the option for BitLocker recovery key, then we would suggest you to refer the below article for managing the security info on your Microsoft account and later retrieve the recovery key.
