• How exactly are you trying to access Hotmail account on your computer?
• Are you referring to Mail app/ Windows Live Mail/ Outlook.com/ Client version of Outlook? Confirm to us?
• If you are referring to Outlook.com, which browser are you using?
• Is this issue specific only with accessing the Hotmail account?

I suggest you to try accessing outlook.com on different browser and check if the issue persists.

If the issue persists, I suggest you to access the website in
InPrivate mode and check.
