    I can't access my virus and threat protection because it's managed by my organization


    Hello. I am unable to do a scan of any sorts with Windows Defender, reason being that I need to access virus and threat protection. When I try, it just says that it's managed my my organization. Why can't I manage it myself? I would like to be able to do a scan of any sort, not start the scan by rightclicking the application, waiting a little bit and then not getting any feedback because I can't see the feedback. I have tried anything I can. Why can't I manage it myself? Who is my organization? How do I make myself able to manage it?

    Your Virus & threat protection is managed by our organization.

    Hello,

    Open Group Policy snap-in by running gpedit.msc command.

    Go to Computer Configuration > Administrative Templates > Windows Defender Security Center > Virus and threat protection.

    Set 'Hide the Virus and threat protection area' setting to Not Configured.

    Also refer this fix: FIX: Your Virus & Threat Protection Is Managed By Your Organization

    Hi,

    I'm facing issue with windows security in windows 10. In virus & threat protection showing that your Virus & threat protection is managed by our organization. pls help how to clear it. I tried with registry Editor but after the reboot again same issue.

    Virus and Threat Protection Issue

    When looking to run a virus scan on my computer, I'm met with an error that says "Virus and Threat Protection is Managed by your Organization." THis is a personal laptop though. Any suggestions?
