Windows 10: I cant activate windows and it says that their activation servers are down and its been...

Someone sent me this app and it auto downloaded it. I wasn't able to stop it and after a few days of it being installed and me not being able to delete it because it said it was being used by another app crucial to windows. After a few days I had gotten the dreadful activate windows watermark and wasn't able to get rid of it unless I activated windows so I went to settings and then it says that the windows activation services/servers were down. I would like to know how to get a code to reactivate it as I already tried re installing windows to see if it would fix it but it never fixed it and I

So now I have a clean install and windows is activated, what are my steps to find out why my original windows install wasn’t activated......

I await instructions........

and apart from checking activation, I do everything else as per your suggestions......will in future check validated once a month.......

In the Windows activation status page is it still showing as activated, or do you have something like 3 days to do it in?
