Windows 10: I can't add my gmail account. error code displays 0x80070490

i can't add my gmail in any windows app like in calendar, mail, people and so on. i tried closing firewall and add the account but the error was still there. does anyone know how to fix it?

• When did you first encounter this software issue?
• Are you still on the process of updating when this error code appears?
• What is your Windows operating system's current build version?
• What are the troubleshooting steps you have done so far, besides Windows update troubleshooter?

Gmail error code

Same problem here. All Gmail contacts disappeared sometime this morning (4/2). The problem happened both on a Lumia 920 and a Lumia 520.

Error code: 801901FS

Steps tried so far:

• Tried to re-sync the account. No success.
• I have tried deleting the account on the 520 and setting it up again. No success.
  
• There was a suggestion on another thread that this may have to do with the pictures in the Gmaill contacts, so I also exported and re-imported the contacts on Gmail. No success.
  

For what its worth, my work Office 365 email briefly had trouble syncing as well. Not sure if it is related or was caused by all the things I was trying.

If this is due to the http/https issue, I do hope that MS will push a quick fix.

Okay

Windows ten user forever. Did the Anniversary Update. This caused about 1/2 my apps and programs to stop working correctly. Followed the (way too many) instructions at the Microsoft site. Killed the system to the point where I wiped the drive, reinstalled the original, did the Anniversary update BEFORE anything else. All is good...except for the Gmail account, which throws this error when I try to sync the account:

Something went wrong (no s**t!)
We're having a problem downloading messages. Make sure you have a connection (yes, I do) and your account info is correct (yes), and then try again (like 30 times or so).

Error code: 0x80072745

I know, just use Gmail...but I'm too damned stubborn for that (which is why I had to reload my entire OS in the first place).

Any suggestions (other than what I just said) would be greatly appreciated!
