Windows 10: I can't check my internet status.

A couple days ago I noticed the ethernet symbol on my taskbar was gone, I assumed my internet stopped working so I reset my router, but it didn't show up, but when I opened my browser my internet works fine. Although when I look up "ethernet" in my settings it says its connected with no internet. This doesn't bother me too much but whenever I try opening the Microsoft store to download something for example Spotify it says that I'm offline and I can't access the store. Whenever I try opening the "Check network status" in settings it closes the window opens and closes immediately.TL;DR I have

When you say “tried uninstalling Internet Explorer”, how exactly you tried uninstalling it?

To check the Windows build, I suggest you to follow the step below.

• Press Windows key + R key, type winver and press
  Enter key.

Also, I suggest you to follow the below steps and check if it helps.

  Type Default in the Search bar and select
  Default Programs from the list of search result.

  Find and click on Reset option at the bottom of the page.

  Restart the system and check if the issue is resolved.

As Windows 10 as Microsoft Edge in-built browser, I suggest you to try that browser and check if this issue persists.

For the issues with Internet Explorer try the below and check if it helps.

Step 1: I suggest you to run the Internet Explorer Performance troubleshooter.

• Press Windows key, type troubleshooting
  and select it.
• Click on View all in the left pane.
• Click onInternet Explorer Performance and follow the onscreen instructions.

Step 2: I suggest you to turn off and on Internet Explorer and check if it helps.

Follow the below steps:

• Press Windows + R, type Control Panel
  and hit Enter.
• Click on Programs and Features.
• Click on Turn Windows features on or off from the left pane.
• Uncheck Internet Explorer, click on Ok.
• Restart the computer and repeat the same as above to place a check mark on Internet Explorer.
