Windows 10: i can't check my phone files in file explorer

so recently, when I plugged my phone POCO M4 PRO 4g into my laptop Hewlett-Packard HP, it couldn't detect when it's for accessing the file inside the phone, but it detects the phone when I change the accessing file settings on my phone to transfer photos PTP, which I could only access the photos and videos and couldn't access the file in my phone. Are there any solutions to this issue?all the things I tried were changing the cable I was using, and it still wouldn't let me access the file on my phone.

Windows Phone Drive Missing in File Explorer

  What is the status when you click on the phone icon in file explorer?

  Do you receive any error code or error message on the screen?
  

I suggest you to run Hardware Troubleshooter and check if it helps.

Run Hardware and Devices Troubleshooter.



Follow these steps to run Hardware and Devices troubleshooter.

• 
  Type Troubleshooting in the search box at the
  Taskbar.
  
• 
  Select Troubleshooting under Settings from the search results.
  
• 
  Now click on View All option present on top left corner.
  
• 
  Click on Hardware and Device Troubleshooter
  and follow the onscreen steps.

File explorer

I am sorry to know that the File Explorer is not working on the Taskbar.

I suggest you to right-click on it to unpin it from the task bar.

Then search for File Explorer in Search. Then right-click on it to Pin it to Taskbar.

If the issue persists, try the steps below.

• 
  Type CMD in Search. Right click on it to run as an administrator.
  
• 
  Type the following 4 commands at the Command prompt:
  

dism /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth

sfc /scannow

powershell

Get-AppXPackage -AllUsers |Where-Object {$_.InstallLocation -like "*SystemApps*"} | Foreach {Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register "$($_.InstallLocation)\AppXManifest.xml"}

• 
  Close the CMD window.
  
• 
  Check to see if the issue is resolved. If not, restart the PC.
