Windows 10: I can't click any icons and empty space on desktop left side of my screen

I'm using windows 11 lates updates optional too and all hardware drivers are up to date like chipset and gpu. It's not happening always but after I close any application or game it's happening. For example when I quit from valorant or chrome, I'll go to desktop and realized can't click any icon on desktop they always left side. didnt try right side icon. I want to show my issue with video too but how can i show it? i dont see any video upload button here.

Cannot put icons on the left side of my desktop

You should be able to arrange your desktop icons however you want. Since you want them all aligned on the left side of your desktop screen, we suggest that you follow these steps:

• Right-click at a blank area on your desktop.
• Hover on View.
• In the right pane, look for Auto arrange icons. If it's checked, make sure to uncheck it.
• Hover again on View.
• This time, check Align icons to grid. Your icons should now be aligned on the left side of the screen.

My Desktop Icons shift to the left edge on a weekly basis

Does that mean that you customize the icons on the desktop and it will auto arrange to the left side of the desktop?

As an initial troubleshooting step, I suggest you to uncheck the option
Align icons to the Grid option. To do so,

• Right click on the desktop.
• Click on View.
• Uncheck Align icons to the Grid option.

My desktop icons move to a grid on the left for no reason

If your icons are aligned to a grid, this means that the settings of your desktop are currently auto arranged and automatically aligned. Since you want to rearrange your desktop icons on however you like them, we suggest that you follow these steps:

• Right-click at a blank area on your desktop.
• Hover on View.
• In the right pane, look for Auto arrange icons. If it's checked, make sure to uncheck it.
• Hover again on View.
• This time, look for Align icons to grid. If it's checked, make sure to uncheck it.

After doing these steps, you'll be able to rearrange all your desktop icons again on how you want it.
