  1. I can't connect or remove my airpods from my windows 11 laptop

I am on Windows 11 trying to use Generation 1 Airpods. Whenever I try connecting my Airpods to my laptop that are already paired and have used once before without any problems, it says "That didn't work. Make sure your Bluetooth device is still discoverable, then try again." and when I try to remove them it just says "Removing device" for a few seconds then puts up the message "Remove failed", I have tried connecting my Airpods to my phone, and it worked, and when I tried using my friend's Airpods which are the same model they worked on my laptop. I have tried restarting my laptop, I tried t

  2. Airpod not connecting to laptop

Hi, I am Dhanam, Independent Advisor here to work with you on this issue.

I know this has been difficult for you, Rest assured, I'm going to do my best to help you.

Turn on Bluetooth on your Windows .

How to connect AirPods to a Windows laptop

Follow these steps to connect your AirPods to an HP Windows laptop.

    1. Put the AirPods into their charging case

Close the case and wait a few seconds. Ideally, the AirPods should have at least 20% battery before you pair them to your laptop.

    2. Open the AirPods case

Open the case and leave the AirPods inside while you follow the rest of these steps.

    3. Press and hold the Setup button

The Setup button is the small, circular button on the backside of the case. Hold it down until you see the LED lights flashing on the inside (older AirPods) or front (AirPods Pro).

The Setup button puts the AirPods into pairing mode, an essential step for pairing any Bluetooth device.

    4. Open the Start Menu

Click the Windows logo on your HP laptop to open the Start Menu on your laptop. With Windows 10, you’ll find it in the bottom left corner. Windows 11 users will see it in the bottom taskbar.

    5. Go to Settings

Find the gear-shaped icon and click it to open Settings.

    6. Open Bluetooth & devices

Windows 11 users should click Bluetooth & devices on the left-hand column. If you’re on Windows 10, click Devices on the Settings icon menu, then click Bluetooth & devices on the left column.

    7. Add a new Bluetooth device

On Windows 10, click Add Bluetooth to other devices next to the grey plus icon. Windows 11 users must click the blue Add Device button within the Devices row.

    8. Choose Bluetooth

A pop-up screen will give you the options of Bluetooth, Wireless display or dock, and Everything else.

    Choose Bluetooth.

    9. Select your AirPods

After a few seconds, a list of available Bluetooth devices will load on the Add a device window. Click the icon for your AirPods.

    10. Click Done

A window will pop up, declaring, “Your device is ready to go.” Click Done.

I can't connect or remove my airpods from my windows 11 laptop

My airpods pro automatically connects to my windows laptop even if it's already connected to my iPhone, when I turn my laptop on.

Hello, I'm Felipe and I'm an independent Community Advisor, and I'll do my best to help you.

This is a common issue with Bluetooth devices, where they automatically connect to the last device they were paired with, even if there is another device that has priority. To prevent your AirPods Pro from automatically connecting to your Windows laptop, you can try the following steps:

Open the Settings app on your Windows laptop.

Click on "Devices" and then click on "Bluetooth & other devices".

Find your AirPods Pro in the list of paired devices and click on "Remove device".

Confirm that you want to remove the device.

Pair your AirPods Pro with your iPhone again.

After following these steps, your AirPods Pro should only connect to your iPhone and not your Windows laptop. If you need to use your AirPods Pro with your laptop again, you can pair them again by going to Settings > Devices > Bluetooth & other devices and clicking on "Add Bluetooth or other device".
