Windows 10: i cant connect via WI-FI...what am i doing wrong?

Discus and support i cant connect via WI-FI...what am i doing wrong? in Windows 10 Network and Sharing to solve the problem; I turn on wifi option..even try to set up wireless connection.. and at last resort tried to use my range extender device, but nada something is wrong.....     i cant connect via WI-FI...what am i doing wrong?


    I turn on wifi option..even try to set up wireless connection.. and at last resort tried to use my range extender device, but nada something is wrong.. cant figure out. I know its probaley right under my nose, but cant find the cause. any clues?

    Cannot turn on Wi-Fi

    I recently downloaded Windows 10. It asked if I wanted to turn off WI-FI, as I was connected via ethernet I said yes. I now cant turn on WI-FI when no cable available. Can anyone help?

    No option for Wifi after update.

    I updated to Windows 10 from 7 Premium on my Alienware 14 laptop. After the update finished, I have no options to use Wi-Fi; not even an icon for Wi-Fi. I am able to connect via Ethernet cable, but I need the Wi-Fi connection....Any ideas what the problem
    is and how to fix it?

    Make sure your home wireless network is visible, enter the correct password obviously. A reboot on the router wouldn't hurt if you are absolutely sure you are entering the correct password. If you have a phone grab a free "Wifi Analyzer" and make sure your wireless access point is on channel 1,6 or 11 and of there are other access points with a decent signal (higher than -70db) reconfigure your access point to a different channel. For starters...

    And don't forget to set your network as allowed or private, if you're using Norton firewall.

    the sticky point in my problem is a "router" and I don't have one installed yet.. soon though, possibly within 30 days..and then maybe this problem will go away. for now, its a waiting game. so I'm gonna solve this.
