the microsoft chat line couldn't help me. i am listed as a child in the family safety group. however i am an adult and the administrator of the group and the only person so should not be a group.

How to correct date of birth on Microsoft account?

Was trying to set up Minecraft for child and messed up date of birth associated with adult Microsoft account. Is there a way to correct this?

 

Adult account - child date of birth

I am listed as an adult account for the family but the date of birth associated with it is my son’s. I cannot change it & keep getting asked to verify my details. I added my wife’s details to see if another adult account could change it, but alas not!

Any ideas how to solve this as the message advises that we’ll lose access to Apps etc

 

How to change child account to adult

Your Xbox Live account age will be based from the Date of Birth that you entered when you created your Xbox Live profile online. Once the account reaches the age of 18 years old, it will automatically change to adult.

If you accidentally set up an incorrect Date of Birth on the account, you have to wait for the account to become an adult or create a new account with the correct Date of Birth. However, if your account shows the correct Date of Birth and the system recognizes
