Windows 10: I can’t create a PIN

Hello, I tried signing in on my windows computer to a Microsoft account but it requires a PIN. I have never set up a PIN code so I don’t have it.So I looked it up and tried to make a PIN but it requires THE pin code to set up a pin code ??? I also tried setting up the code on my phone instead but then it automatically becomes face-id verification instead. How do I set up the pin code when no device is letting me??

Can't create pin for login. Pin stopped working

To resolve your concern about creating pin to your computer, we suggest that you follow these steps:

• Navigate to C:\Windows\ServiceProfiles\LocalService\AppData\Local\Microsoft\NGC (click to get permission when prompted).
• Delete the contents of that folder (delete everything in that folder, but leave that folder and everything above it).
• Go back to settings, accounts, sign in options.
• Your non-working pin will now be gone, and you can just click 'add a pin' and set it again.

I need a PIN to sign in, but never created one and can't create one because I need a PIN in order to do so?

Here are some steps you can follow to create a PIN:

• Press the Xbox button to open the guide.
  
• Go to Profile & system > Settings > Account > Sign-in, security & PIN > Create my PIN.
  
• Enter a 6-digit PIN, and then re-enter the PIN to confirm.
  

If you've forgotten your PIN and can't access restricted console features, follow these steps:

• When you're prompted to enter your PIN on the console, enter any 6-digit combination three times.
  
• Enter your Microsoft account password when prompted.
  
• Select Make a new PIN.
  
• Enter a new PIN, and then enter it again to confirm.

Hello,

I suggest you to create a PIN for your device and try the on screen keyboard to login to the same.

You may follow the steps below to create PIN protection for your device.

• 
  Go to Settings and select account.
  
• 
  Click on sign in option and Go to PIN option.
  
• 
  Now click on Add and set PIN for login.
  

You can use the same PIN to login to your device using the on screen Keyboard from ease of access option and verify the result.
