Windows 10: I can't disable Windows Defender to use my antivirus system AND sound not working

I have a Dell Inspiron 7375- 2n1. Horrible laptop, btw... Do not recommend.


That said, two problems....


FIRST I have Symantec Ultimate Defense Antivirus System. It was working just fine until about a month ago. Will not allow me to enable real-time protection. So then, for safety I guess, I have to enable Windows Defender, which I don't want to use. Why can't I disable Windows Defender and enable Symantec?


SECOND The sound is not working on my laptop. System automatically updated, but slowed the system down substantially which is what it does EACH TIME IT UPDATES. So I uninstalled update and when it restarted, the sound doesn't work anymore. Troubleshooter says "Both Windows Audio and Windows Audio Endpoint Builder Services must be working at the same time or audio to work properly. At least one of the services isn't running." Please help. I don't want to restart Windows AGAIN!!!

I would like to inform you that if you have other antivirus on your computer, so Windows defender automatically

disable itself.

If you don’t have any other antivirus on computer then I would suggest you to check the services for Windows defender:

Steps:

• 
  Close all application and program and reboot the computer.
  
• 
  Press Windows key+R.
  
• 
  Type services.msc and press enter.
  
• 
  From the list, you will see two services for Windows defender.
  
• 
  Right click on both the services one at a time.
  
• 
  Click on properties.
  
• 
  Under general tab, select automatic from startup type.
  
• 
  Click on start and then click on apply and then ok.
  
• 
  Reboot the computer and check if it helps.
