Windows 10: I cant download files to my S: drive

I am trying to download Microsoft Flight Simulator. I tried to empty my C: drive but it's not working, everything I try, I can't get enough gb left for the download. I tried downloading it to my S: drive, which has more than enough space, however, when I select the folder, it does not register it and goes back to the C: drive one. I tried restarting and everything. Creating folders in that drive required admin permissions, which I have, and this also happens with Google Chrome or anything else. Please help!

Downloaded files disappear


When you download a file through any browser, there's an option somewhere to 'Open Containing Folder.'

In Windows, to find a file you have downloaded...

1. Open your personal folder by clicking the Start button and then clicking your user name at the top of the Start menu's right pane.
   
2. Double-click one of the following folders:
   
   • Downloads
     
   • Documents
     
   • Pictures
     
   • Videos
     
   • Music

If you do not see the file you are looking for, but know its file name, you can search for it by following these steps:
To search for a file you have downloaded...

1. Click the Start button
   
2. Type all or part of the file name into the Search box.
   The file you are looking for will appear in the list of results.

 

how to copy files from the CD to the Computer drive

I would suggest you to follow the steps below:

• 
  Press Windows key + X.
  
• 
  Click file explorer from the list.
  
• 
  Select the CD/DVD drive and hit Enter.
  
• 
  Select the files you want to copy from the CD/DVD, then select the drive where you want to paste or save.

Download Windows 10 installation files to a usb drive

Thank you for posting your query in Microsoft Community.

• Where are you downloading Windows 10 from (the link)?

I would suggest you to check if there is any file in the USB flash drive because it has be to be empty and minimum space of 4GB. If there is any file in it, I would suggest you to save it and then format it.

Start downloading the tool first and once downloaded, right click the tool and Run as Administrator.
