Windows 10: I can't download pptx files on my computer.

Discus and support I can't download pptx files on my computer. in Windows 10 Software and Apps to solve the problem; I'm doing a couser on Thinkific and the homework is in pptx format.     I can't download pptx files on my computer.


    I'm doing a couser on Thinkific and the homework is in pptx format. I try to download but an error pops up saying the file can't be downloaded. I tried using the microsoft office viewer but when I try to download from there an error pops up as well. I've had the people doing the course send me the homework for now but I want to solve this problem.

    Missing extension PPTX in Windows 11

    Hi mrsword

    I am Dave, I will help you with this.

    Right click any pptx file and choose Properties

    On the resulting dialog, click the 'Change' button, then on the resulting list, select your preferred application to associate to .pptx files.

    I can't download pptx files on my computer.

    pptx files don't appear in search results

    Think I might go to control panels 'Indexing options' 'advanced' 'File types' and see if it lists pptx file extensions & if not add it. Probably want to rebuild it after which can take some time.
