Windows 10: i cant download soundcloud because "this app requires the latest version of microsoft edge...

Can't open soundcloud in any browser or App

Hi,

Thank you for writing to Microsoft Community Forums.

Please confirm the following things for me.

1. Was there any update on your system prior to which you did not face this issue?
   
2. Are you facing this issue with any other app that require internet connection, downloaded from the Microsoft store?
   
3. Does the issue occur on any other browser?
   
4. Are you using any third party antivirus or firewall? If so, please disable it temporarily and see if the issue still persists.
   

I suggest you to follow the methods below and see if it works for you.

Method 1: Disable proxy settings.

1. Press ‘Windows’ key and ‘R’ key, type ‘inetcpl.cpl’ and press ‘Enter’.
2. Click on the ‘Connections’ tab, then click on ‘LAN settings’.
3. Uncheck the ‘Use a proxy server for your LAN’ option.
4. Click on ‘Ok’.

If you are not connected to any proxy connection, check ‘Method 2’.

Method 2: DNS settings.

1. Click on the Windows icon at the bottom left corner of your screen, type ‘ncpa.cpl’ and press ‘Enter’.
2. Right-click on your Network icon, select ‘Properties’.
3. Scroll down to find ‘Internet Protocol [TCP/IP]’ and double click on it.
4. Check if the ‘Obtain IP address automatically’ and ‘Obtain DNS server address automatically’ options are selected, click on ‘Ok’.
5. Check if you are able to access ‘SoundCloud’ on the browser and the downloaded application.
   

If you are still facing this issue only with the ‘SoundCloud’ app and ‘SoundCloud’ on all the browsers, I would suggest you to contact ‘SoundCloud’
to get a confirmation about this.

Microsoft Store says it "Requires the latest version of edge" but its installed!

I'm trying to download an app via the Microsoft store and instead of the get button I get a message "This app requires the latest version of Microsoft Edge".

I have Edge (Chromium) as my default browser, its running the latest version (99.0.1150.30).

Edge reports it is up to date.

How can I download the App? (Get Pluto TV from the Microsoft Store)
