Windows 10: I can't download the launcher from via my account

Hello,

I have purchased Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 and have installed all 10 discs.

There are no instructions for doing anything else and the PC does nothing else. I have redeemed my code too so now the game shows in my account even though I purchased the disc version.

I contacted Aerosoft who told me that I now need to install the launcher for MSFS 2020 via my MS account. I have been trying for ages and cannot download the launcher. It says I have no devices suitable attached to my account. That is total rubbish as my PC is listed on my devices list and everything is up to date. It will still not download the launcher. I am getting very fed up with this system and am banging my head on the wall because there is no one I can talk to so I can get this issue resolved.

Has anyone else had this issue and managed to get it sorted out?

Remove account

I suggest you backup your personalized files first before removing the account.
To delete an account, follow these steps:

1. Press WIN + X keys and click Command Prompt (Admin) from the menu.
2. Type the following command and press Enter. Replace test with the name of your sister's account. Code:

• Restart your phone.
• If the issue persists after restarting your phone, it only means that the default launcher is needed for any other launchers to work properly. Re-installing the default launcher should resolve the issue.

Once your Android phone is back on its default settings, re-install the Microsoft Launcher and your other apps.

Note: You can easily restore your Microsoft Launcher settings if you have performed a back up. To back up your Microsoft Launcher settings, please do the following:

1. Launch the Microsoft Launcher settings. (Tap and hold your phone's home screen and tap on the
   Launcher Settings.)
2. Tap Back up & Restore.
3. Tap Back up Microsoft Launcher option.
4. Confirm that the Back up to cloud storage option is selected.
5. Tap the Back up button.
6. Check the settings that you want to back up.
7. Tap the Back up now button.

You may restore your Microsoft Launcher back up after re-installing it.

If you can no longer re-install your phone's default launcher, please get in touch with its manufacturer for assistance on how you can reset it to its factory settings.

Edge Search Does Not Permit Change of Region


I got these suggestions from the Microsoft Community forum.No. 1 worked for me:

Thank you for posting the query on Microsoft Community. I am glad to assist you on this.
We have reproduce the issue here and we are able to access non-regional search for google using Microsoft Edge.
I would suggest you to try the below steps and check if it helps.
Step 1:
Clear browsing data option of Microsoft Edge and check if you face the issue. To do so perform the steps below.

1. Click on the More actions icon next to the feedback icon present on top right corner of the Project Spartan homepage.
2. Select Settings and click on Choose what to clear.
3. Check the boxes Browsing history, Cookies and saved website data and Cached data and files and click on Clear.

Step 2:
I suggest you to create a new user account and check if the issue occurs.

1. Go to Settings.
2. Choose Accounts and then select Family and other users.
3. Select add someone else on this PC.
4. Enter a user name and hit next.
5. Click on Finish.
6. Sign out from the current Account and Log into the new account.

Step 3:
It could also happen because of network issue. I suggest you to try with different network connection and check if it helps.
