Windows 10: i cant enable hyper v

i was trying to enable virtual machine platform and windows hypervisor platform when i enable at i restart my windows normally but in the progress he said we couldn't complete the updates undoing changes i spend so much time trying to fix this then i find out that i have to do two things 1: check if the virtualization was on or not i opened the task manger to find out that it was enabled 2: enable hyper v when i enabled i restart and he told the same error we couldn't complete the updates undoing changes how can i fix that

Can't Enable Hyper-V in Windows 10 Professional

I appreciate your effort on this. As per my research the error code 0x800f0831 is generated when .Net Framework 3.5 is not enabled on the computer. I suggest you to try enabling .Net Framework 3.5 on the computer. Follow the steps mentioned below:

1. Press Windows key + R, to open
   Run dialog box.
   
2. Type appwiz.cpl and click on
   OK.
   
3. Click on Turn Windows features on or off.
   
4. Now, select the check box for .Net Framework 3.5 and click on
   OK.
   
5. Restart the computer.
   

You can also check if Virtualization feature is enabled in BIOS or not, if it is not enabled, I suggest you to enable it.

• Windows 10 Enterprise
• Windows 10 Professional
• Windows 10 Education

The Hyper-V role cannot be installed on:

• Windows 10 Home
• Windows 10 Mobile
• Windows 10 Mobile Enterprise

 

Can't enable hyper V on window 11 pro

Hi RexPan,

Can you see the Hyper-V Manager in the start menu? Run msinfo32 and see if the hypervisor can be detected.

Check if there is any other virtualization software installed on your computer. If yes, uninstall it and try again.

Also check if there are any third-party antivirus or security software that may be blocking Hyper-V. Try disabling them temporarily and see if that helps.
