Windows 10: I can't enable search highlights. I right clicked my taskbar, checked the search section...

I can't enable search highlights. I right clicked my taskbar, checked the search section but it doesn't show any option saying "Show search highlights". How can I fix this?

Search Highlight !

Good morning, I downloaded the optional update KB5011543 today, I was hoping to get the "Search Highlight" feature in my search box but can't see anything ! I think the update came with various fixes but no sign of the Search highlights !! I have right clicked on the taskbar and checked search but nothing suggested ! Do I have to turn it on somewhere ?

Hello suzygh, welcome to the Microsoft community, I'll be happy to help you today;

I understand that Search Highlight is not displaying any information;

Initially I recommend that you check if you are updated with the latest version of Windows 10;

Press Windows key + i and go to Update and Security;

Click Check for updates and do ALL pending updates;

Update Edge;

Open Edge and click (...) in the upper right corner of the screen to access Settings;

Click About Microsoft Edge in the left menu;

If there is any update, it will be done;

Right-click on the taskbar, select Search > and activate the options: Show Search Box, Show Search Highlights and Open mm focus;

Now hover over the highlight icon on the taskbar to see search highlights;

When I right click on Taskbar, there is no "Search" in the list.
