    I cant enable the windows firewall, Windows defender is saying that your firewall is off restore its settings. I am enabling it but it does nothing. I tried from services.msc i tried sfc scan and all the other things troubleshooting the firewall. Give the permission to Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\BFE . Did everything that was available on internet but still nothing happened,Also tried here Tried this Also tried this

    Best free AV and firewall

    Can Windows Firewall block outgoing connections yet? If not, it's one step above useless.

    Look into Online Armor for a free firewall.

    Enabling windows firewall in windows 10

    Hi,

    What happens when you try to enable Windows Firewall? Does the edition of Avast have firewall feature in it? If a 3rd party firewall exists in the system, Windows Firewall is disabled.

    Right-click Start, click Control Panel

    Click Security and Maintenance

    Click "Security" to expand it.

    What's listed there for Network firewall?

    Cannot keep Network Discovery Enabled.

    Hi,

    Thank you for the response.

    I would suggest that you change the settings in the Firewall to allow Network discovery so that the Firewall stays On while allowing the Network discovery to be enabled.

    Follow the steps.

    a . Open Control panel.

    b. Small icons from the drop down.

    c. Click on Windows Firewall.

    d. Click on Allow programs or feature through Firewall.

    e. Scroll the list and check Network Discovery.

    If you need additional assistance then let us know.
