Windows 10: I cant find my games/apps in firewall anymore

Hi everyone,to get straight to the point. Discord and steam started misbehaving even tho my internet works just fine. Im unable to reach connections on discord or servers on steam. Frankly, any game anywhere. I am able to download everything and surf the internet, just not connect to discord or steam games online.I keep getting an error msg from Counter-strike for example saying ''internet connection established successfully. check if you have problems with your firewall controls, and/or internet provider.''Im not sure what's going on. Ive done a lot of things to try and fix it including reset

Windows Firewall blocks App Store from downloading new apps

Hi,

Let's try to check if the app store you're referring to if it's really blocked by Windows Firewall. See these steps:

• Open Windows Firewall from the taskbar >
  Firewall & network protection > Allow an app through firewall.
• A new window will show up containing the list of the apps that ca be allowed through Firewall.
• Look for the app you want to be accessed, and make sure that the Domain, Private and Public are ticked. That would allow the app store to be accessed.

Good Antivirus + Firewall

I would never put anything Norton on my computer.

Nod32 is arguably the best antivirus. AVG is likely not as good, but it's free and at least pretty good.

Firewalls, I'd put Comodo and whatever "Tiny Personal Firewall" is named nowadays on your short list. I think Kerio might have sold it now and it's named something else. Otherwise, just put Comodo on your short list. I think the current version's ease of use has taken a step backwards, seems a bit counter-intuitive when trying to do certain things with it, but overall it does a good job and the price is right.

 

Windows 10 Game Apps

• Select your account name from the top-left corner of the menu, and then select Switch account.
• Sign in with an account other than the one you were using.
• Restart the game to see if it works correctly.
