    I can't find my monitor for audio output.


    Hi, so small question. I was going through my sound output and I accidentaly pressed on "Don't allow" while going in the properties and now I can't find that monitor back. I tried unpluging the HDMI and the power source and it doesn't. Is there anything else I can do or its gone forever.

    I've tried every step that was suggested, still getting no audio output device installed.

    • What is the make and model of the computer?


    I suggest you to try the troubleshooting steps listed in the articles listed below:



    If you’re facing sound issues on Envy 24 monitor speakers, you may try the steps listed in
    HP Flat Panel Monitors - Troubleshooting Sound Problems with Monitor Speakers



    If the issue persists, you may update the chipset drivers for your PC and check if it works.

    No Audio Output Device is Installed

    Hi,

    You will need to select Windows 8 from the drop down list while installing the driver in compatibility mode.

    I would suggest you to try setting the speaker as default audio output by following the steps below and check if it helps.

    1. Right click on the sound icon on the right bottom corner of the taskbar.

    2. Select "playback devices".

    3. If "speaker" is not set as the default device, highlight it and click "set as default".

    5. Save the changes.

    Let us know the result.
