Windows 10: I can't find or reinstall my Realtek/Intel Ethernet driver.

I reset my network settings to try and fix a website issue, but afterward, my desktop wasn't able to reinstall the Ethernet driver automatically. I've attempted several times to manually reinstall the Ethernet adapter driver from the desktop manufacturer's website; however, they only offer a driver compatible with Windows 10, not Windows 11. I tried installing the Windows 10 version anyway, but it wasn't compatible with Windows 11.Additionally, I tried resetting the network settings again to prompt the PC to reinstall all network adapters and drivers. It successfully installed Wi-Fi and Blueto

How to reinstall a missing Realtek ethernet adapter Dell 2020

We recently have installed fiber optics in our house. We have two All in one Dell 2020's running windows 10. One PC connects to the internet readily, the other one doesn't connect. Inspection of the Device Manager listings show that the successful PC has a Realtek adapter, the other one has no ethernet adapter listed.

I read the 2017 thread discussing the same problem, but the answers don't offer much help.

It would seem like an obvious procedure would be to download the driver from Realtek, which I did successfully, but it sits in the download file and never shows up in Device Manager.

Am I missing the critical step of moving the driver from the download file to the Device Manager, or should that have been a built-in step to the download process?

I have tried doing the restore legacy hardware step with a right click on the Device Manager, but none of the available are supported by this PC (Realtek is not a candidate in this process).

BTW, Realtek came with the original system. The name is realtek PCLe GBE Family Controller

Intel Ethernet Driver Code 10

Any help is greatly appreciated,

I built a new gaming PC about 3 months ago now, and every now and then the ethernet driver decides to stop working. I initially thought it was after every windows update but it is now doing it whenever it wants. Im not doing anything differently or anything that may cause it to break, but sometimes it randomly stops working and i can no longer connect to the internet.

I used to be able to fix the problem by uninstalling the driver from the device manager, using a separate pc to download the LAN Driver from the asus website (B550 F Motherboard) onto a usb, plug the usb into the new pc and run the install software and it would work. Now however, i have nothing. I have done exactly the same steps as i just described but it wont work. I am also seeing an error for 'Ethernet Controller' which i dont think i have seen before. It is a Realtek driver and i have tried the same uninstalling and reinstalling but it just wont work and i am faced with the same yellow warning triangle next to the Intel Ethernet Driver and the Realtek Ethernet Controller.

I am just confused as to why it randomly does it and now my old fix is no longer working, currently without a PC that i spent months building!
