  1. I can't get my S20 Note Ultra to connect to Windows 10 for file transferring via USB?

I have tried everything, usb 2.0 3.0, usb-C to usb-C, I go to the portable device MTP driver and it gives a code 31 cannot load driver, so I tried manually updating the driver and it gives the same code. I followed guides on registry editing, I did the net localgroup Administrators local service /add in command prompt, I installed MTP porting kit. I haven't done a clean install of windows and no I'm not going to because this is a sad state of affairs in the year of our lord 2024 that I can not plug my mainstream phone into my mainstream PC and not have it JUST WORK

    :)

    Cable to transfer files

OMG. I have never met anyone who actually bought one of those file transfer things.

Firewire will do the same as USB, but faster, so will a cheap crossover cable. I can wlak you through the steps of moving data so you will not miss a beat.

Anything more than $10 to buy a cable is too much.
