    Getting My shortcuts to appear on my desktop when I open my page it keeps just going to all the window choices

    I would suggest you to try the following steps and check if that helps.

    • Go to the folder C:\Windows\System32 and sort by file type.
    • Look for the screensaver file type (.scr).
    • Find the file scrnsave.scr(you can choose any of the screensavers).
    • Right click and select send to>desktop (create shortcut). The shortcut on my attachment, but when i click on it my screen goes off and on and nothing else.I can't get my shortcuts yo show up on my destop when igo to it :)

    Hello MICHAELMC,

    Please try these possible solutions:

    1. Check for Visibility of Desktop Icons

    If all of your Desktop icons are missing, they might been hide.

    Right click inside an empty space on your desktop and go to View tab at the top.

    Check for the Show desktop icons at the bottom.

    It might be unmarked.

    Mark it as checked by clicking over it. See the image below for illustration.

    2. Enable the Desktop icons Visibility

    Search for Settings window using Cortana and open it from the search results.

    In Settings

    Click on Personalization.

    Select the Themes tab from the left pane.

    On the right pane of the Themes tab, click on Desktop icon settings to open the settings in order to enable the Desktop icons visibility.

    Select the icons you want to show on the desktop and click on Apply and OK buttons afterwards.
