Windows 10: I can't get my sons account linked into family safety i.e. can't link his device

I have tried everything, but can't get my son's computer linked in through family safety. I have the app on my iphone.. it shows his name, but says "location not shared"In the family safety site, it says "how to connect a device" I have the admin account on his windows 11 computer i.e. I am the admin, and then have him signed in to microsoft. I went into windows, went to accounts, family, but there is no option to select "allow"Please help, this should be much easier.

Linking a device to my Microsoft Family Safety account

I want to add a new laptop to family safety account, specifically to my son's profile.

This is a Lenovo ideapad 110 laptop (Windows 10)

When trying to add a device (under "Your Devices" in the Microsoft.com Device pulldown menu, it only gives me the option to add a windows phone or register a Surface, Xbox, Surface Book or MS Band.

I just want to add device and link it to my son's profile, but it is overly confusing with so many required passwords, unclear instruction, and the need for each of us to have an email account.

There is currently one devise assigned to him, but that laptop no longer exists.

It doesn't appear that any devices are assigned to me, but since I am wanting to be the Admin and monitor, I'm not sure that this is a big deal. I have access to both his email and my email accounts. (He is 8 and does not use email), and one of the windows
says his email address is the administrator even though he was added as a kid.

Can someone please make this really easy for me? None of it makes sense...the last computer was easy to set up on Family, and this one has me stumped. Thanks!!!!

 

Family Safety unlinking device doesn' t work

When I was just browsing trough the internet, I accidentally connected my laptop to my microsoft account. (I use 2 laptops and this one isn' t supposed to be connected to my account)

I have tried to search up ways to undo this, with no succes. It still shows up in my Microsoft Family Safety devices-list. I don' t know how to fix this.

It would be grately appreciated if someone could show me a way to do this.
