Windows 10: I can't give my son consent because of an error in the system.

My son is trying to open a new Microsoft child account but when i try to give consent, it says that there is a problem in the system. Then I retry but instead of the consent page, it shows the "Home" page. What can I do to fix this and what is the error? cannot give consent for son's account, he cannot login without consent.

I input his email address. I input his password. >>Then I get to "Parent or guardian consent is required for this account." >>I click "I'm a parent or guardian. I'll sign in with my Microsoft account and give consent." >> click "sign in to give your child consent">> sign in with inputting my email address and password >> new popup page: "Give consent for [childname]'s Microsoft account" I click "YES, I AGREE" >>next page "Can [child'name] use non-Microsoft apps with this account?" I click yes, and "continue" >> Then the process stops and says "Something's not working. It's not you, it's us."

We cannot login to his account on any computer, device, xbox due to this error that is preventing me from giving consent.

As a result of this error, I am unable to add him back into the family because his account is basically locked until the consent process works. But, I've tried a many times, and it gets stuck at "Something's not working"

I have been trying to get this issue resolved for 2 weeks and no one at Microsoft can figure it out. I have verified the account, we have changed the password, chat support has investigated his account and it is good and secure. I have been in close to 15 hours of chat support and countless hours online in forums. So far, nothing has worked. I need someone from Family Support to investigate and resolve this error between my son's account and my account giving parental consent.

He is unable to access any of his microsoft tools or gaming because the login system blocks him and asks for parental consent.... which I try to give and the consent process drops off at the same point as described above.

I have other minors with accounts, who have been given consent, denied consent, re-added to family... I know the whole process forwards and backwards. This kid's account is stuck and we need some Microsoft family safety person to solve it.

Team, I am trying to provide consent for my son's account. I am getting the error: Something's not working It's not you, it's us.

I think perhaps I selected USA for my son's account when setting it up, and my account as parent has a different country.

that said, I was chatting with your representative, and we tried to change it but we weren't able to access my son's account because it requires parental consent first before it can be accessed.

Can you please assist?

my son's account is in my family group, and I can see the invite from my son's account, but not able to accept it, as the above error message is where I get to when I try.

W10 wiped my son's laptop
