Windows 10: I can't install Amazon app store despite meeting the system req.

I have an i7-10750H but it says my cpu doesn't meet the system requirements.

Amazon App from Windows Store (Windows 10)

About one week ago I upgraded my Dell laptop to Windows 10 and downloaded/installed the Amazon App from the Windows Store. While the Windows Store says that the app is installed on my computer, I'm not seeing it listed in the "All Apps" section of the Start
Menu nor listed in the installed programs through the Control Panel. The only way I'm able to open the app is if I go the Windows Store and click on Open.

Does anyone have any suggestions about how to enable the app for me to view it without going through the Windows Store? If I need to uninstall it and reinstall the app, how do I go about doing so (since it's not showing up in the Control Panel/Programs list)?

 

Windows Update says PC doesn't meet sys req for Win11?

Up until today my Windows Update page has stated my system meets the requirements for Win11. However my power got knocked out and I had to reset my BIOS and initially forgot to turn TPM back on. I noticed after going to look for updates and seeing the PC Health Check app saying it was turned off, so I restarted and turned it back on.

However, as of right now the Windows Update page still lists my system as not meeting requirements despite the health check app saying I do? Is this just the update page being stubborn and not changing yet or am I going to have to do something more despite the app saying I don't?

2 things you can try:

1. Make a new account and see if that works (didn't for me).

2. If that doesn't work you need to copy the Store and it's pre-req's to C:\Program Files\WindowsApps from a working Windows system and then install them again. This did work for me.

Steps to do this are (if you don't have another PC around)

• 1. Install Windows 10 to a VM
• 2. Run Windows update on the VM.
• 3. Copy the following files from a place that works (the VM) to your C drive:
  • a. Microsoft.WindowsStore*
  • b. It's pre-req's (Microsoft.Net.* and Microsoft.VCLIBS.*)
• 4. Install it again with powershell Add-AppxPackage -register "C:\Program Files\WindowsApps\<PackageFullName>" –DisableDevelopmentMode. (where <PackageFullName> is something like Microsoft.WindowsStore_2015.925.10.0.....etc)
  It will tell you if you forgot a pre-req - if so just copy the missing one and try again (they are listed in the xml anyway)..
