    Firefox and proxy autentication...

    If you mean proxy server settings in firefox type in the bar
    about:config
    navigate to network.negotiate-auth.allow-proxies and change the value to FALSE (is set to TRUE by default). That will make Firefox remember the proxy login and password.
    OR you use the AutoAuth add-on

    Firefox forgets proxy server

    Does anyone know why Firefox discards the proxy settings after each PC restart? I'm on a corporate network which uses a proxy configurations script for external web access, and these setting work fine in IE. In Firefox, however, I need to re-enter these under Tools > Options > Advanced > Network > Settings... > Automatic Proxy Configuration URL every time the PC is started.

    Bit of a pain really, so does anyone have any suggestions to make it stick?

    In the meantime, we suggest that you create a test user profile. Check if you will have the same issue with proxy settings. This is for us to verify if the issue is isolated with one user profile or with multiple accounts.

    To create a test user profile, follow these steps:

    • Using Cortana search, type Settings and then hit the Enter key.
    • In the Settings window, select Accounts.
    • Select Family & other people.
    • Choose Add someone else to this PC.
    • Click I don't have this person's sign-in information.
    • Click Add a user without a Microsoft account.
    • Name the user as TEST and then provide a password.
