I cant install the 2024-07 Cumulative update for windows 11 V.23H2 x64 KB5040442.It gets stuck at 25% install and gives me an error. I did tried this:1. Search CMD, find the command prompt, and choose to run in administrator mode.2. 2024-07 Cumulative Update for Windows 11 Version 23H2 for x64-based Systems (KB5040442) Error

I've been trying to install Windows update (2024-07 Cumulative Update for Windows 11 Version 23H2 for x64-based Systems (KB5040442)) however it keeps failing and returns the following message:

Some update files are missing or have problems. We'll try to download the update again later. Error code: (0x80070570)

 

I have an HP Laptop Windows 11 - Update 2024-07 Cumulative Update for Windows 11 Version 23H2 for x64-based Systems (KB5040442) cannot download. How can I get this download to install?

Windows won't let me install a 2024/07 Cumulative Update

I was on my laptop and proceeded to update Windows 11 to the latest version possible, like BIOS updates, Windows Malicious Software Removal Tool updates, etc.

But there's a catch: I'm having issues with installing a Cumulative Windows Update.

After installing every software update possible, I let my laptop sit for a while to install a more recent 2024/07 Cumulative Update for Windows 11 23H2 (KB5040442).

That didn't go quite well, it was still stuck at a 2024/06 Cumulative Update, and after I checked for updates, I realized that the Windows 11 23H2 cumulative update (KB5040442) has a "Download and install error" message, maybe that's the reason why.

So can you pls tell me how to fix this to never happen again? Thanks.
