Windows 10: I CAN'T launch old disk games! I've tried EVEYTHING! Please help!

Just posted in here but reposting due to post error. Not super savvy with this kind of stuff or PC's, but I purchased a game called Backyard Baseball 2003, and I am attempting to run it on my Windows 10 PC.



I have attached what the disk data looks like, and I've tried both "CheckInstall" and "Setup" and both prompt me to select "yes" to allow changes to be made, the mouse wheel spins, so there seems to be a response, and then *poof* literally nothing happens.



I have exhausted literally every single option. I have tried the following options, per suggestion:

- "Run programs made for previous versions of Windows."

- "Run this program in compatibility mode for: (Every version of Windows)

- Again not very savvy, but I've downloaded multiple third-party applications or add-ons to my PC that were supposed to allow the game to run. Have not worked.

- Changed my registry

- Changed the location of the Program Files folder to default

-Turned off windows firewall temporarily.

I know its not recommended, but I'm open to letting a professional have remote access to my PC to see how to get this game and other old ones to launch, I'm desperate! Please help! Thanks!

Gaming and Random Crashes.


Hi,

After some research and failing to find any solution i`ve decided to find help, have a gaming laptop (don`t judge me) and it used to work pretty well, until the latest Witcher expansion, i would be gettting a DPC_WATCHDOG_VIOLATION everytime i tried to start the game, some driver updates later and now i`m randomly getting the same BSOD so far i've tried.

• Updating GPU Driver.
• DDU the Drivers and do a clean install.
• running sfc/scannow

Unfortunately my internet time is limited and i couldn`t find any more steps.

Any help would be appreciatted, and sorry for the bad english.

i ve tried everything:with atiflash from dos,winflash.step by step with bios powercolor hd 6970 from the database.
nothing,doesn´t work.any suggestion????

 

Games won't launch and run in background.

Please do let us know with the following information for better assistance:

• What exactly do you mean by games does not run in the background?
• Which are the games you are trying to launch?
• Were you able to see any error code/ error notification while trying to launch the game?
• Have you tried any troubleshooting steps?

I would like to inform that the Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable x86,
usually occupy 1 GB of the storage space.

I suggest you to run disk cleanup to free the memory: Free up drive space in Windows 10
and check.
