Windows 10: I can't log in without wifi?

I can't log into my windows 10 laptop without wifi. It keeps telling me I need an internet connection to log in but I don't have access to one for my laptop at the moment. It isn't letting me put my pin that I usually log in with. All it has is a button that's says sign in but then it says I can't because I don't have an internet connection.

The authentication failed error that you encounter when connecting to a local WiFi can be related to a change on the device firmware caused by the recent update. As an initial step to fix your concern, we suggest that you reset the connection by following
these steps:

• Click the Start menu

• Select settings
  
  
  .
• Select Network & Internet.
• Click on WiFi and select Manage known networks.
• Under the list of networks, select the affected WiFi connection.
• Select Forget.

Once you're done, reconnect to the WiFi and check if the issue persist.
