Windows 10: I Can't log into Microsoft Account on Windows 11 PC / Laptop

I can't log into my new laptop with my Microsoft account. I am able to get past first log in screen, then it asks for my password a second time. I enter it, and it then doesn't work and says "Oops, something went wrongWhatever happened, it was probably our fault. Please try again."I am 100% certain I have the correct password, I have even reset it and it still doesn't work. register PC with microsoft; use local account to log in

Just simply log in with your Microsoft Account.
Switch to Microsoft Account in Windows 10

Just go back to using a local account:
Switch to Local Account in Windows 10

Hopefully the tutorials are step by step enough.

How do I register my PC with my Microsoft account?
But when I'm done, I'd like to use my local account each time to log in.
Please tell me how to do that.
I am very new at Win 10, and need step by step instructions.

Laptop not listed in Devices in Microsoft Account

Hi. When I log into my Microsoft account and check under Devices, I only see 3 out of 4 devices that I use with the account. Listed are two nokia windows phones running win 8.1 and 1 hp stream 11 laptop running windows 10.

My main hp-15 laptop running windows 10 is not listed.

I've tried the steps here:

Add a trusted device to your Microsoft account - Microsoft Support

to make it a trusted device but it doesn't make my hp-15 laptop listed.
