    I can't logon and I am the only admin!


    I am the only admin. I have tried shift+restart and everything else to no avail. What can I do to get back in my computer.I used the find my device option and my computer is locked. I think that I removed the device from my list of devices. It says an admin has locked the device and must sign in to unlock it. I have tried everything What can I do? i can't do a factory reset. No matter what I try, it goes back to screen saying an admin has locked the device. Have an admin sign in first

    admin password?

    You can reset the Admin Password using Windows XP repair; See Here for step by step.

    Windows 10 logon requires 2 separate logons

    It would be quite a deliberate "accident" to set a BIOS password because you actually need to get into BIOS to set it! Removing it requires the same steps: Get into the BIOS, then clear the password.

    If you do not remember the BIOS password then there are two options:

    • If this is a desktop PC then you need to open the case and remove the shiny button cell battery from the motherboard for 10 minutes. This will clear the BIOS password.
    • If this is a laptop then you need to return it to the distributor.
