    Location setting

    Hi,

This issue could occur due to incorrect location settings or it would depend on your IP address. We suggest you to check the location settings of your PC, and check if it helps. Here are the steps:

    • Click the Start button, and select Settings.
    • Go to Privacy, and choose Location.
    • Make sure that the Location service is On.

If issue persists, then it has something to do with your IP address. It’s because the location detected depends on the location set on your IP address.

Let us know how it goes.

Photographs saved in camera roll not showing location

    Hello

I, too, have lost this particular functionality.

I have the 950. At first, the location was saved with photos, but no longer.

I have reviewed all the privacy and location settings I can think of. Everything is enabled. I have tried the soft reset suggested by Jose, and that has made no difference.

    Here's the settings I've checked:

    • Privacy Settings
      • Location Settings
        • Location = "on"
        • Relevant Apps set to access location:
          • Blink
          • Camera
          • Cortana
          • Lumia Creative Studio
          • Lumia Motion Data
      • Camera Settings
        • Let apps use my camera = "on"
      • Background Apps Settings
        • Windows Camera = "On"
I can't find anything else that affects the camera and its access to location data.

    Can anyone help?

I can't move the saved location of things in settings

We couldn't set your default save location

If none of these mentioned things helped you, try this (this is the only thing that helped me).

For example, you want to set the default location to disk D:

    1. so go to disk D: using File explorer and look for a folder named "WpSystem" (If that folder isn't there, then this solution will probably not help you)
      • (it is located at the same tree level as "Program Files")
    2. Delete or rename the WpSystem folder
      • (this folder is used for storing data for windows apps, so if you have nothing to lose, then delete it or you can just rename it to WpSystemOld or something. You can maybe later try to move those files from that old WpSystem folder to a new one, that windows will create (I didn't try this). You can google the purpose of this folder, if you're not sure)
    3. Now changing that default save location should work.
