Windows 10: I cant open mp4 files on Photo or anything else but MOV works fine,

Discus and support I cant open mp4 files on Photo or anything else but MOV works fine, in Windows 10 Software and Apps to solve the problem; I wanna trim and watch videos in Photo so I can later edit them in a video editor but I can't now.     I wanna trim and watch videos in Photo so I can later edit them in a video editor but I can't now. This is a new PC and it worked fine on my old one. This problem was happening form the very start.

    .MOV file will not play

    You have 2 options:
    1. Download and install Quicktime Player to play .mov: QuickTime 7.7.9 for Windows OR
    2. Download and install Handbrake: HandBrake: Open Source Video Transcoder and convert .mov file to another format such as .avi or .mp4 then you can play with VLC or with Movies & TV App that came installed with Windows.

    CONVERTING MOV FILES TO MP4

    i have several flash drives with .mov files on them.

    When I play them on my desk top computer (Lenovo PC), all I get is the audio and not the video.

    What do I need to do to be able to view these .mov files, as well as convert them to an MP4

    .MOV files play choppy

    Trying to open .mov files on a computer, video will start fine for 3 seconds then freeze. Play for one second, then freeze again for 5 seconds. Happens with multiple .mov files.

    Tried using WMP and VLC. Task manager is not showing signs of PC being taxed.

    Ideas?
