Windows 10: I cant open Windows defender in anyway

yea i messed up somehow, installed a virus.


but then i immediately tried to open windows defender, which didnt open and then i tried to enter it via control panel but nothing was there other than a red block that said "update your firawall settings" with one button to press and when i press it it says "windows cannot change some of your settings. error code 0x80070422"


i then downloaded bitdefender but it deleted some of my normal things so i deleted it too. now im installing forticlient antivirus but how to solve this windows defender thingy?


and windows update is working....

I would suggest you to open Windows defender and add exclusions and check if it helps. Follow the steps to add exclusions in windows Defender.

• 
  Type Windows defender settings in the search bar and press enter
  
• 
  Under Exclusions click on Add Exclusion

This issue might occur if you have set any task scheduler for Windows Defender.

I suggest you to delete the task for Windows defender and check if it helps.

Follow the below steps:

• 
  Search and open Schedule tasks.
  
• 
  In the left-hand menu, open the Task Scheduler Library, then select
  Microsoft >Windows >Windows Defender.
  
• 
  Double-click Windows Defender Scheduled Scan.
  
• 
  Select the Triggers panel, then select Delete.
