Hello.First of all sorry for my english It isn’t my main language. So here is the big issue that i have and that can’t find any issue. It has been 5 days that i can’t work because It seems that there’s no solution for my problem. - I have decided a few days ago to reboot completely my PC. It went well. Everything was clean, working fast again. Was happy about It.- i’ve updated Windows as my pc asked me to- i’ve REstarted my PC and they said that there’s a problem with my PIN. Impossible to do anything. What the hell? There’s also a solution to write a password but i’ve never choosed any passwor

  2. Issues with Radeon 7400 M graphics in windows 10

    Hi Praveen,

Thanks for the post. The problem seems to be from Microsoft . I have followed below steps

    • I have downloaded the software Leshcat’s Catalyst 15.7 WHQL UnifL from Most Popular Parts
    • I have unistalled all my graphics softwares and drivers related to radeon 7400 M.
    • The Catalyst 15.7 WHQL UnifL contains both intel and radeon drivers. So install intel drivers and reboot.
    • install radeon drivers and reboot.
Now my system seems to be perfectly fine and no issues with drivers. Booting normally with out any issues. I turned on windows update and 7400 M drivers automatically installed from Microsoft.

After the reboot again the same problem. Now I am not sure how can I disable to download only 7400 M updates keeping all other updates on.

    kindly suggest.

PC reboots (no BSOD) on CPU stress

    Hi fellow TPU members,

not too long ago, the box my gf's PC was transported in gave way on the stairs. Yes, you got it right, that sent a PC tumbling down a flight of steps alright.

Stuff broke. Also, stuff remained intact somehow.

I bought her a new case, new CPU cooler and we removed the floppy drive, so far so good. But the PC started crashing for no apparent reason, without a BSOD.

    I tested:
    • Memtest86+, left overnight, 0 errors
    • Scanned the HDD for errors, nothing there
    • Left FurMark burning up the GFX card and drawing some power, no problems there
    • Ran Ubuntu from a Live CD doing nothing special, didn't crash
    • Ran OCCT, Linpack, Prime95, all 3 caused reboots within minutes
    • Oh, and I disabled "Restart on error" so I'm sure it's not a BSOD.
Now, I can still try and test something CPU intensive on Ubuntu, but my guess is the CPU didn't survive.
Before I do anything drastic like whippin' out the magic wallet and get her a new AMD quad, is there anything I didn't see?
I'm guessing the motherboard could be borkered as well, but can I check that other than replacing the CPU with a working one?
Any suggestions on which proggies I can use from an Ubuntu Live CD to stress the CPU?

    Reboot Windows 10 PC remotely

Here are some potential considerations for this task:

    1. You should have someone with physical access reboot the machine for you that is there physically in case there's a boot issue and you cannot access it otherwise remotely.
    2. You can run the SHUTDOWN -m \\<PCName> -r -f (or SHUTDOWN -m \\<IPAddress> -r -f) to force a reboot remotely.

      • You'll want to do this from another machine that can access this with appropriate permissions to run this command.
      • I usually do a PING -t <PCName> right after this until it starts responding, give it a few for things to fully start, then RDP, etc.
      • If it hoses up during the reboot, you may need to get someone to hard boot it, or take the dreaded drive anyway.
