Windows 10: i can't remove the Win32\Grenam.A virus

    i can't remove the Win32\Grenam.A virus


    i was recently updating my PC recently and i was shocked because one of the files aren't removed and it was the virus itself. the executable itself only had 522KB, and it said i need permissions to remove the virus itself. Windows Defender didn't do it right, yet it's the same thing. every time i quarantine or remove it, it didn't do anything at all. i didn't launched it on accident, every single one of my files are fine but i wanted to remove it completely because i don't want to cause any future issues. the virus itself only infects other executables, and nothing else. any ideas on how to re

    win 32 Grenam virus not being removed

    Windows defender is showing that there is a win 32 grenam virus present on my pc but does not take action against it. I have tried multiple times to quarantine, remove or clean the threat but nothing happens. Hva dwnloaded other antivirus softwares like avast and malwarebytes. Once installed, windows defender says that there are now no threats presenr, but when I uninstall them, the threat resurfaces. How ca n it be removed?

    Is Virus win32/grenam.va msr really dangerous or just a false alarm?

    Grenam virus infects other executables and you may see multiple Grenam entries on the protection history page. Microsoft Defender AV notifications you see are most likely not false positives.

    Suggest running a scan using Malwarebytes Antimalware.
