Windows 10: I can't reset my PIN after I entered the bitlocker recovery key.

I left my laptop and went out for several hours and when I returned, it asked for a bitlocker recovery key. I entered the key and my laptop restarted. On the screen it says your pin is no longer available due to a change in security system on this device. Click to set up your PIN again. When I clicked on 'Set up my PIN' it leads to 'Microsoft account' page but after 1-2 seconds it switched back to the main screen asking for setting up my PIN again. My laptop is connected to the internet but I don't know what the problem is. Can you please help me solve the problem without loosing my files.

6. Select "Troubleshoot" and then "Reset this PC" or "Advanced options" and then "Command Prompt."
   
7. In the Command Prompt, type the following command to reset the password for the local user account: net user [username] [newpassword], where [username] is the name of the locked account and [newpassword] is the new password you want to use.
   
8. Restart your PC and sign in with the new password.

Lost bitlocker recovery key

I have lost my bitlocker recovery key and tried following the recovery steps. I have also searched and tried following the command prompts suggested but none have worked.
