Windows 10: I cant restore my windows11 to the default icons theme after changing it to something else

it changed the whole thing and i cant change it back I also forgot to do a restore is there any way I can bring it back? will resetting my PC do it

Thank you for providing the information.

• Did you try the steps suggested by Suvarna Govinda above, what was the result?

As I understand the issue, Themes in Windows doesn't have the options to change on its own. Only the Wallpapers in the themes can change as selected ( Picture, Solid color and Slide Show ).

I would suggest you to make us understand that if the Wallpapers are changing in Theme which you have selected.

Below are the steps you can check if it helps.

• Press Windows + I keys and select Personalization.
• Select Theme and select the Default theme.
• Select the Desktop Background below and select the Picture
  and save it and check.

How do I restore the original icons on android 7? [Solved]

Yeah I just checked these "icon themes"...
I picked a theme and I needed a samsung account for it..*Frown

I guess I leave it as is then, have to get used to it.

I hope they restore back to the original icons with a next android update...*Oh Well hwell:

 

I changed my taskbar icons and now I don't know how to change them back to their default icon...

Thanks for your response.

We would suggest you to perform these steps and check.

1. Press Windows + I key to open
   Settings
   
2. Click on Personalization
   and select Themes from the left pane.
   
3. Select Desktop icons settings. Check the option Allow themes to change Desktop icons.
   
4. Click on OK.
   
5. Go to Themes and change theme to any other. Check if the icons restore to default.
   

If the issue persists, then perform these steps to rebuild Icon cache

1. Click on Start menu and type
   CMD, right click on CMD and select Run as Administrator.
   
2. Copy and paste the below commands and press
   Enter after every command:
   

ie4uinit.exe -show

taskkill /IM explorer.exe /F

DEL /A /Q "%localappdata%\IconCache.db"


DEL /A /F /Q "%localappdata%\Microsoft\Windows\Explorer\iconcache*"

shutdown /r /f /t 00

Note:
the last command will restart the PC.
