Windows 10: I can't run the programs I download from the internet on my Windows 10 computer.

Recently I downloaded the installer for the program DaVinci Resolve 16. Whenever I try to run the installer it comes up with the message, "
Your organization used windows defender application control to block this app." The device I am using used to run on windows 7. It was an old school computer that was factory reset and updated to windows 10 by me. I am also the administrator on this device. I have even tried using "run as administrator" and it still wont work" Please help me because I really need to be able to run this and other programs. I would really appreciate all the help I can get. Thank you!

Can not download/run any program from the internet.


After downloading just click the "x" and close the downloader



Then open file explorer and go to downloads.

I already checked with Malwarebytes for malware and it's clean!




Just follow the steps.

Try the following steps:

  Click "Search" and type "Troubleshooting" without quotes and hit enter.

  Click “View All”
  
• 
  Select "Internet Explorer connection"

Windows 10 forced download

I actually had a client call yesterday with an email problem. when I tried walking him through some steps, he says "Yeah, I don't see that there, but I think it's because it's updated to windows 10. It did that a few weeks ago. I came back in on Monday, and it said Welcome to Windows 10"..... I think I'd throw the computer out the window.
