Windows 10: I can't see my external drive on my PC

I can see the drive when I plug it to other computers, I can see it diskpart, when I use "list volume" it is shown as a healthy volume, though when I use "list disk" it shoes 0 free space. It isn't just one drive but a few others but one, specifically two transcend 2TB drives and a Sandisk 64 gig flash drive but someone else's Hard drive of make I don't know does show.I have tried updating my drivers and checking through device manager but no luck.How can I fix this?.

• Just to confirm, the device that is not working properly is a external DVD optical drive?
• Were there any recent changes or updates installed on your computer?
• Have you tried to plug the external drive to a different port on your computer?

• Type “Troubleshooting” in the Search bar and press Enter.
• Click on “View All” in the top left corner.

We suggest that you try the troubleshooting steps below:

• Open your External Hard Drive file in File Explorer.
• Type the name of the file you want to search on the search box and click Enter.

The file will show up in Search Results and you will be able to move it to the correct folder.

step 1: try with a different USB cable

step 2: take the drive out of the enclosure and connect it internally to your PC

quite likely the cable or enclosure has died. if you're re-initialising the disk you might actually be erasing it... so dont do that.
