Windows 10: I can't sign in to Microsoft apps. Let's get you signed in pops up then nothing happens...

So I recently reset my laptop. Everything seemed pretty normal until I tried installing Onenote from the Windows Store. I tried choosing sign in with a personal account where "Let's get you signed in" pops up. There is nothing to choose from except a continue button that closes the pop up when clicked. I can't sign in to Onenote, Microsoft Store, and some other Microsoft apps and settings sections. This is really frustrating as Microsoft's apps are essential.

There's a possibility that you are currently signed in on your computer using your local account. For us to sort this out, we suggest that you sign in with your Microsoft account instead. Follow these steps:

• Open Settings > Accounts > Your email and accounts.
• Select Sign in with a Microsoft account instead.
• Follow the on-screen instructions.

Once signed in with your Microsoft account on your computer, try signing into the Windows Store app.

cant sign in modern apps (popping up and crashing)

i cant sign in to any modern windows 10 whenever i try the signing in a square pops up and disappears (crashing).
like if i sign in to xbox app it just flicker and closes.and if i try to sign in through the windows 10 settings the same thing happens. i have already reset all modern apps and reinstalled them and cleared the cache and still nothing.
