Windows 10: I can't sign into the microsoft store or the xbox store apps with my microsoft account

I've tried all the generals things to doReset my dnsUninstall and reinstall both appsRemoved and added my microsoft accountCleared the cache for both appsNo matter what I do, the system won't let me sign into my account through the sign in pop on either appI can sign into other accounts just fine, but I either get an error that states I'm not connected to the internet, or that there was just a general error with signing into my account.I recently purchased minecraft, and the game requires me to sign into the xbox store, but I am unable to.

I see what you mean about the password but i think its a backward step to compromise my Microsoft password to to use the app store

Yes. When you sign in to the Store with a Microsoft account like in step 5 in Option Two of the tutorial below instead of switching to a Microsoft account you will and stay a local account.
